A rare late 19th century English fairground Ice cream hand cart
Painted grey with maroon and blue “pure Ices” lettering and lining
On the front end there are two painted flags - Italian and Union Jack
Written in black - “J Burnett, coach builder, forge sj Pentre?
In the top are four internal compartments and between the handles a lidded box. The whole top is removable. Set on iron wheels which run like a dream.
There is a hand painted double sided sign in the shape of an ice cream and cone with the words “ices” written on it. This slots in to the top and can be removed. There are four removable painted scalloped uprights for a canopy (sadly not included)
It was found in a barn in south Wales and has always been in the same family. By repute hidden away after a cholera outbreak.
